1. 100% Offline-First Architecture & Zero Data Leakage
Resume Studio is engineered as an offline-first desktop application. Your personal details, contact information, career history, skills, and compiled LaTeX documents remain strictly on your local disk (~/.config/resumestudio/user_config.json or your chosen project folder). We do not transmit, analyze, monetize, or harvest your resume data.
2. Website Telemetry & Cookie Policy
On our static download and marketplace website, telemetry is disabled by default unless you explicitly grant consent through our compliance dialog. When enabled, we record only anonymized aggregate counts (such as total package downloads and generic page impressions) to size server bandwidth.
3. Template Marketplace & User Accounts
If you choose to create a community account on the Template Marketplace via Supabase authentication, we securely store your email address and authentication credentials. When you publish a resume template, the template code and preview screenshots are hosted on Supabase object storage for other users to download.
4. AI / LLM Integrations
When using the AI Copilot inside the desktop app, by default it operates with our local, built-in offline heuristic engine or a local Ollama server. If you configure a third-party API key (such as OpenAI or Groq), prompt queries are sent directly from your workstation to that provider without passing through any intermediate Resume Studio proxy servers.
5. Contact & Data Erasure
To request the permanent deletion of your marketplace account or uploaded templates, simply delete your template from the portal or contact our open-source maintainers at privacy@resumestudio.local.
